Tethered balloon is applied to many fields with its remarkable advantages. As for use security of tethered balloon, the cable tension is most important in lots of information. The principle of the tension collection is introduced according to the force analysis. The tension monitoring process was designed and a tension transducer was selected. The rationality of the design method was verified in practical applications.
