The principle and procedure of far-field direct method to measure EIRP of active phased-array antenna are de-scribed simply in this paper. The principle equation of measuring EIRP is derived. The error of EIRP measurement is analyzed. The results show that RMS error of EIRP measurement is less than or equal to ±0.33 dB. The measured result of EIRP for a S-band active phased-array antenna is given. The result agrees basically with the theoretical calculation result.
