The paper describes research and design optimization of the converter main body based on SolidEdge .Applica-tion of SolidEdge to digitization of three-dimensional, optimal design and design calculations for the converter , greatly sim-plifies calculation steps of the determination of the center of gravity on the converter , and calculation of the tilting torque . Application of SolidEdge for parametrization of the converter main body effectively improves the quality of product design and efficiency of exploitation .
