This paper introduces the application of a CAN based LED intelligent control system in expressway tunnel lighting. This system utilizes the features of long transmission distance and high reliability of CAN bus and conducts intelligent control of LED lamps in tunnel in accordance with factors such as traffic flow and real-time ambient brightness outside the tunnel, etc. to realize tunnel lighting as required so as to achieve the purpose of secondary energy conservation.
