地基承载力确定是土力学中的经典问题之一。地基承载力确定方法有3类:根据载荷试验的p-s曲线、根据设计规范确定和根据地基承载力理论公式确定,即由抗剪指标c、φ值确定。对确定地基承载力时国内广泛应用的弹塑性法和欧美广泛使用的刚塑性法的理论方法进行探讨,并用一工程实例阐述地基承载力确定的复杂性,从而确定各理论方法的适用范围,并为地基极限状态设计方法提供依据。

Determination of bearing capability of foundation is one of classic problems in soil mechanics. The bearing capacity of foundation can be determined by 3 methods:in accordance with the p-s curve of load test, in accordance with design specifications and in accordance with theoretical formulae of bearing capability of foundation, i. e. shear indices c andφvalues. This paper probes into the theoretical methods such as elastic plastic method extensively applied at home and rigid plastic method extensively applied in Europe and America to determine bearing capability of foundation, and expatiates complexity of determination of bearing of foundation by means of a project example so as to define the applicable scope of all theoretical methods and provide bases for design methods for limit status of foundation.
