This article made a general review on the preparation and development of the casting steel/iron matrix wear-resistant composites. Especially, it analyzed the preparations process of the bi-metal liquid casting, inlay composite casting and casting infiltration. In the future works, some recommendations on the technology of the wear-resistant composites are made, matching the right components, improving the metal liquid quality, applying the computing technology to simulate the process, researching the interface bonding mechanism, etc.
