    Grassland degeneration exists in Xinjiang widely, and overgrazing is an important reason. Several problems existing in the development of animal husbandry in Xinjiang were discussed, such as overgrazing, herdsmen settlement for revitalizing animal husbandry and livestock in agricultural areas, and some views were put forward.
