Fault recording system is of great importance to improve the operation safety of hydropower stations .In the cascade Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba hydropower stations , an operation management mode of “united dispatching” is adopt-ed.In this paper, the structure, functions and characteristics of the fault recording system in such management mode are analyzed .
