The paper introduces the parental characteristics of a new two-line hybrid rice variety Y Liangyou 1998, discusses its main seed producing techniques in Ledong County,H ainan,and summarizes thatselecting the advantage base and reasonable sowing time is the key to success in its seed production. And the Ledong County with stable clim ate can produce crop seed of high quality and with similar costs as com pared with the mainland.
