依据江苏省旅游统计数据，运用ArcGIS 9．3工具，从点和面2个层面对江苏省各星级酒店及其整体的空间布局特征进行了分析，具体采用核密度指数、莫兰I指数、吉瑞C指数和Gi 指数指标．结果表明：星级酒店在江苏省内空间分布极不均衡，且各星级酒店分布差异较大；总体呈现出以苏州、南京为2个核心，由苏北到苏南逐渐集聚的态势；苏南大部分发达县市及苏中、苏北各市的市区均为星级酒店分布热点区，苏北大部分县市尤其是省界边缘及沿海地带多为冷点区．最后，分析了旅游资源和区域经济及旅游业发展水平、重要交通基础设施、政府决策行为等因素对星级酒店空间布局的影响．

According to the statistics data of Jiangsu Province tourism , the software ArcGIS 9.3 was adopted to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of grades of star-rated hotels in Jiangsu Province based on two as-pects of both point and region .The pattern of star hotels spatial distribution was assessed by the Nuclear densi-ty index, Moran′s I index, Getis-Ord general C index and Gi index.The results indicated that the spatial lay-out of Jiangsu star hotels distributed disproportionally , especially the high grade hotels .It showed a tendency to gather from north to south Jiangsu with two cores of Suzhou and Nanjing .Most developed counties and cities of south Jiangsu , together with urban areas of mid and north Jiangsu cities were all hotspot regions of star ho -tels.However, most counties and cities of north Jiangsu , particularly the regions near provincial boundary were cold spot regions .The influences of factors as tourism resource , regional economic and tourism develop-ment standard , transportation infrastructure and the government′s decision-making behavior on spatial distribu-tion of Jiangsu star hotels were concluded .
