    可扩展标记语言XML，作为一种结构清晰，互操作性强的标记性语言，正被越来越广泛地应用于数据传输领域。简要介绍了XML文档作为一种数据载体在军用信息系统中的应用方式、应用前景以及其固有缺陷。通过分析军用信息系统的特点，结合对目前几种比较流行的XML文档压缩方法的介绍，提出了一种适用于军用信息系统无线窄带环境的压缩方法。

    As a clear structure interoperable markup language,XML is more widely used in the filed of data transmission.This paper describes how the XML document used in the military information systems as well as its shortcomings.Also it describes the XML docmument’s defects.By analyzing the characteristics of the military information system and the popular compression methods of XML document ,We proposed a new way of XML compression which applicable to the military Information system.
