P. E. classroom observation is a new type of physical education teaching evaluation activity for P. E. re-search and classroom teaching effectiveness assessment,and an effective method for action research in P. E teaching and the evaluation of the quality of teaching. With a refined style of study and clear operational process,it has been widely welcomed by the academia and primary and secondary school physical education teachers. Classroom obser-vation can improve the accuracy of the teaching judgment of physical education teachers,help them apply teaching strategies tailored for their specific class,effectively improving the quality of classroom teaching. Classroom observa-tion enables the teachers to reflect on problems in classroom teaching and share what they know. It helps promote teacher?s professional development and rally team wisdom,thus conducive to teaching innovation. A complete P. E. classroom observation entails the selection of proper observation points,appropriate ways to record,effective observa-tion targets,and a normal observation mechanism,and all of these will enable the physical education teachers to re-shape their teaching behavior,make possible classroom predictions,and help generate teaching wisdom for PE teach-ers.
