Research progress on catalysts for thermosetting phenolic resin at home and abroad was reviewed including: alkali, salt, metal ion compounds, and composite catalysts. To improve the polycondensation reaction through the new composite catalysts and control activity points of phenolic resin, this wil then let the phenolic resin adhesive move to fast curing, low cost, low free phenol, low free formaldehyde.
