The paper introduced the advantages of the distributed optical fiber temperature sensor technology in leakage monitoring applications,outlined the working principles of distributed optical fiber temperature sensor leakage monitoring technology,compared the pros and cons of gradient method and heating method,and summarized the research present situa-tions of indoor model tests and theoretical derivation at home and abroad .At last,concluded that the future development trends in this field should take deepening the indoor distributed optical fiber sensor quantitative monitoring test research as basis combining with construction control factors to research the application of distributed optical fiber leakage monitoring technology in the practical engineering.
