本文通过使用中国银行业监督管理委员会网站上公布的官方数据，从新型农村金融机构的总体发展趋势、三类新型农村金融机构的发展趋势和新型农村金融机构在中西部、东部的分布状况等方面，分析了我国新型农村金融机构的发展状况和业务状况，研究结果发现我国新型农村金融机构近几年发展迅速，其中村镇银行增长较快；中西部地区新型农村金融机构的增长速度比东部地区快；另外，新型农村金融机构有较好的盈利空间，并且新型农村金融机构的大部分资金都投向了“三农”和中小企业，但自2010年以后，新型农村金融机构对“三农”和中小企业的资金投入呈不断下滑的趋势。
