本研究探讨英语专业大学生的学业拖延情况和原因以及其与学习动机之间的相互关系。研究者以210名英语专业大学生为研究对象，采用《学业拖延调查问卷》和《大学生英语学习动机问卷》收集数据，并用SPSS11．5将所得的数据进行了分析。研究结果显示：英语专业大学生的学业拖延与其英语学习动机的成绩、学习情境、出国和个人发展等因素存在显著相关性。在分析了相关原因后，文章提出了建议：学生应尽力调整自己的学习动机以减少学业拖延现象的发生；同时教师应在现有条件下，尽可能地使自己的教学方法适应学生的动机类型，从而减缓其学业拖延。
본연구탐토영어전업대학생적학업타연정황화원인이급기여학습동궤지간적상호관계。연구자이210명영어전업대학생위연구대상，채용《학업타연조사문권》화《대학생영어학습동궤문권》수집수거，병용SPSS11．5장소득적수거진행료분석。연구결과현시：영어전업대학생적학업타연여기영어학습동궤적성적、학습정경、출국화개인발전등인소존재현저상관성。재분석료상관원인후，문장제출료건의：학생응진력조정자기적학습동궤이감소학업타연현상적발생；동시교사응재현유조건하，진가능지사자기적교학방법괄응학생적동궤류형，종이감완기학업타연。
This study aims to locate the correlation between English majors’ academic procrastination and their learning motivation.On the basis of earlier studies on academic procrastination and learning motivation, a questionnaire consisting of academic procrastination and learning motivation is distributed to 210 English major students.Data are analyzed with SPSS 11.5 to find the correlation.The re-sults show that there is a significant correlation between English majors’ academic procrastination and their learning motivation ( imme-diate achievement, learning situation, going abroad and individual development).The paper recommends that students should try to adjust their types of learning motivation to reduce the appearance of academic procrastination and teachers should make their teaching activities accord with the students’ learning motivation in order to make the academic procrastination to the smallest extent.
