Based on a brief introduction of water information gateways, the article elaborates portal search engine technical route, architecture and implementation principle. The water conservancy survey data resources can be applied to the portal by the way of resources and merging with other water resource data. It releases in the portal client retrieval using search engine, and realizes the data resources integration and sharing in the application level.
