随着国家教育改革的不断深入，新的课程标准对一线教师提出了新的教学目标和要求，教师既面临着机会也面临着挑战。传统的英语课堂教学已经不能适应新课改的需要，面对这种情况，教师更是要积极地去发现教学的不足，并且及时加以改正，从而逐渐提高英语课堂效率。初中生正处于学习英语基础知识和应用的重要阶段，英语教师要努力地开发学生学习潜能，让学生不仅仅学英语，还应该学会应用英语。

With development of China’s education reform, new teaching goals and requirements have been put forward to the front line teachers.Teachers are facing both opportunities and challenges. The traditional English teaching has not adapted to the new course reform.In the face of this situation,Teachers are actively to find out the problems in teaching, and timely corrected, so as to gradually improve the efficiency and quality of English teaching. Students in junior high schools are in the important stage of learning the basic knowledge and application of English.Teachers should strive to develop students’ potential, so that students will not only learn English, but also grasp the application of English.
