面对历史文化名城“千城一面”、历史街区大量改造成商业街的现状，越来越多的学者开始认识到历史文化街区的保护与发展须以延续文脉为终极目标。提出“文脉”具有优质性、逻辑性、延续性三大特征，并以苏州平江历史街区的保护规划为范例，分别从文化遗产分析评价、双棋盘格局、建筑文化景观的保护与再生3个方面阐述了如何将“延续文脉”贯彻于历史街区保护规划之中，强调了延续文脉才是历史街区保护规划的正确方向。

Facing with the situation that all historical cities seem alike and most historical blocks have been renewed into business streets, more and more scholars begin to realize that the protection and development of historical blocks should aim context as its ifnal target. This paper suggests the three characteristics of context, priority, logicality and continuity, by contrast between culture and context, and uses the conservation planning of Suzhou Pingjiang historical block as an example to illustrate how to implement the concept of contextual continuity into historical block protection plan from the three different aspects: cultural heritage analysis and assessment, double chessboard pattern, and the protection and renewal of architectural culture landscape. It also emphasizes that it is contextual continuity which is the right way for historical block protection planning.
