In this paper we focus on the plane harmonic longitudinal waves transmission in a elastic medium and discuss the kinetic energy and the potential energy of the plane harmonic longitudinal waves from three aspects :function expression method ,graph expression method and mechanics principle showing the essence and elementary law of energy transfer of the plane harmonic longitudinal waves through analysis of the force condition ,deformation and motion of material element .
