Near-infrared spectroscopy as it can quickly and accurately detect the chemical ingredients in tobacco has broad application prospects in tobacco fields.This paper outlined the basic principles of near-infrared spectroscopy,summarized the main application object of NIR spectroscopy technology in the tobacco fields and discussed the major modeling methods of NIR spectroscopy for the tobacco analysis.Finally,the future direction of the near-infrared spectroscopy technology in the tobacco fields was predicted.
