The Xiao Chaihu decoction was the main prescription for Hejie ShaoyanginShanghanlun·Shaoyang. Professor HU Xiao-hua focused on combination between differentiation of diseases and syndromes, attached importance to syndrome differentiation and homotherapy for heteropathy, applied the Xiao Chaihu decoction in gynecological diseases. The Xiao Chaihu decoction and formula variation in accordance with signs were effective on obstetrical and gynecological diseases.
