The establishment, calibration and application of the soil moisture forecast model are elaborated. And the social benefit, economic benefit and ecological benefit are analyzed in the period of application. It shows that soil moisture content prediction could effectively improve the efficiency of agricultural water, and provide a scientific basis for drought relief and agricultural income as well as water saving and protection of water resources.
