Pile foundation is a common form of deep foundation , which is widely used in various types of buildings and structures . While the calculation of pile settlement has been studied quite thoroughly , the underlying soil-pile interaction is not yet .Based on displacement coordinating method , a calculation method discussed in this paper is for settlement analysis of the single pile embedded in layered soils , which can be considered in the stress dispersion of pile end soil .Contrasting with the traditional method , the calcu-lating method in this paper is consistent with the measured value;reflect the load on pile top settlement trend .It can be well applied to practical engineering .
