与其它课程相比，高校思想政治理论课具有政治性、思想性与知识性相统一、实践性与理论性相统一、现实性与发展性相统一的特点，这些特点在一定程度上影响着思想政治理论课教学评价，使思想政治理论课教学评价具有政治思想性与理论知识性相统一、即时性与发展性相统一和模糊性与精确性相统一的特点。教学评价设计应根据思想政治理论课教学评价的特点，注重评价目标的现实性与发展性相结合、评价内容的政治思想性与知识理论性相结合、评价结果的定量与定性相结合和评价主体的多样化。
