对薄壳山核桃采用嫁接、枝插、根插3种育苗方法进行繁殖对比试验，结果表明：3种育苗方法都可以培育薄壳山核桃良种壮苗，苗木成活率以枝插方法最高，根插方法最低；3种方法所育苗木的生长量大小顺序为：2年生砧木嫁接1年生苗＞根插2年生苗＞1年生砧木嫁接2年生苗＞枝插2年生苗。表明培育薄壳山核桃良种壮苗以2年生砧木嫁接最为理想。
대박각산핵도채용가접、지삽、근삽3충육묘방법진행번식대비시험，결과표명：3충육묘방법도가이배육박각산핵도량충장묘，묘목성활솔이지삽방법최고，근삽방법최저；3충방법소육묘목적생장량대소순서위：2년생침목가접1년생묘＞근삽2년생묘＞1년생침목가접2년생묘＞지삽2년생묘。표명배육박각산핵도량충장묘이2년생침목가접최위이상。
Grafting,cutting propagation by branches and cutting propagation by roots were contrastively tested for Caraya illinoensis. The results showed that all the three methods could propagate the fine varieties of C.illinoensis,but the cutting propagation by bran-ches led to the highest survive rate ,then followed with the cutting propagation by roots .The order of the seedling growth increment propagated by the three methods was that the one-year-old scions grafted on the two-year-old grafting stocks>the cutting propagation by roots>the two-year-old scions grafted on the one-year-old grafting stocks>the cutting propagation by branches .The ideal method to propagate the fine varieties of C.illinoensis is the one-year-old scions grafted on the two-year-old grafting stocks .
