The application of shore-based pulley to open terminal is of distinct advantage in intensifying the mooring capacity. The design load and other main design parameters of shore-based pulley are determined,and the optimized mooring pattern is indicated by studying international standards and vessel data. The above research results will provide references for the design of open terminal and the mooring safety investigation.
