NOTCH1信号通路是影响机体发育的重要通路，而研究NOTCH1的靶基因及其功能对阐明该通路的分子机制非常有意义。NOTCH1蛋白的入核片段ICN1，通过招募共转录因子CSL和MAML1形成转录复合物，启动靶基因的表达。通过生物信息学分析预测了21个潜在的NOTCH1靶基因。半定量PCR、定量PCR和蛋白表达分析的结果表明SEPT4是NOTCH1的一个新的靶基因。

NOTCH1 signaling pathway is very important for body development and the study of functions of NOTCH 1 target genes is helpful to understand molecular mechanisms .The activated fragment of NOTCH1,ICN1,enters the cell nucleus and recruits its partners ( co-activators):CSL and MAML1,to form a DNA-binding complex and initi-ates the transcription of NOTCH1 target genes.Bioinformatics predicts that there are 21 new possible NOTCH1 tar-get genes.The results of semi-quantitative PCR,real-time quantitative PCR ,and protein expression analyses indi-cate that SEPT4 gene is a NOTCH1 target gene .
