    Cyanide residue is the by -product in cyanide process , which contains many valuable metals such as gold , silver , and the residue has high recycling and utilization value .This paper stated native and foreign progresses on recovering gold and silver from cyanide residues in recent years , and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of these methods .
