1930年，中央研究院史语所与山东省政府合组“山东古迹研究会”。研究会成立之初，即与国立青岛（山东）大学达成合作培养考古人才的协议。期间，由于国立青岛（山东）大学为研究会在济南提供房舍之事屡遭挫折，双方合作不甚顺利，后经山东省图书馆馆长王献唐先生多方协调，方得解决。至1933年，国立山东大学师生赴滕县安上遗址和曹王墓参加史语所和研究会组织的田野考古发掘，这是山东大学的第一次田野考古实习。彼时史语所对此并不欢迎，全赖王献唐先生积极斡旋促成，终成一段佳话。这体现出王献唐先生对培养考古学专门人才必要性的清楚认识，也是近代高等教育中考古学专门教育的重要事件。
1930년，중앙연구원사어소여산동성정부합조“산동고적연구회”。연구회성립지초，즉여국립청도（산동）대학체성합작배양고고인재적협의。기간，유우국립청도（산동）대학위연구회재제남제공방사지사루조좌절，쌍방합작불심순리，후경산동성도서관관장왕헌당선생다방협조，방득해결。지1933년，국립산동대학사생부등현안상유지화조왕묘삼가사어소화연구회조직적전야고고발굴，저시산동대학적제일차전야고고실습。피시사어소대차병불환영，전뢰왕헌당선생적겁알선촉성，종성일단가화。저체현출왕헌당선생대배양고고학전문인재필요성적청초인식，야시근대고등교육중고고학전문교육적중요사건。
In 1930 , Shandong Research Association of Ancient Sites was established with the cooperation of the Institute of History and Philology , Academic Sinica and Shandong provincial government . The research association and National Qingdao (Shandong ) University had an agreement on archaeological education in the university .However ,the agreement was not carried out successfully until Prof .Wang Xiantang ,the director of Shandong Library ,helped to solve the problem of housing in Jinan for the research association .In November 1933 ,seven students and a teaching assistant from the National Shandong University ,led by Prof .Xian Liu ,attended the archaeological excavation of the Anshang site and the Caowang burials in Teng county of Shandong , which was organized by the Institute of History and Philology and the research association .This was the first archaeological field school of Shandong University . The reason for Shandong University being involved in this cooperated excavation again lied in the support of Prof .Wang Xiantang .The excavation of Anshang site was a reflection of the effort for the academic personnel training in archaeology by Prof .Wang and the National Shandong University .It therefore became an important event in the modern education history of Archaeology .
