Intensive Reading is one of the main courses for English education in university, teaching quality of which could directly affect the further improvement of the learning ability of students. The core idea of heuristic teaching is to improve the learning interest and activeness of students by using flexible teaching methods, and the objective is to lay a fine foundation to promote the comprehensive grasp of knowledge and enhancement of learning ability. In this article, the application of heuristic teaching in the education of Intensive Reading is analyzed and investigated.
