This paper introduced the common diseases types in sub-grade widening, analyzed the forming mechanism of sub-grade widening engi-neering diseases, put forward the method using the geo-grid to make reinforcement treatment to new and old sub-grade combination parts, and re-searched its design and construction quality control, pointed out that the technology had significantly effect to improve the new and old sub-grade bearing capacity, was an effective method to reduce uneven settlement.
