西藏的清真寺在历史上共有11座,其中拉萨有6座,日喀则有2座,昌都有1座,山南泽当和阿里古格各有1座。西藏清真寺有着藏穆文化相互交流与相互融合的印记。西藏清真寺的载体表现出两种文明相互碰撞的综合体,同时也体现出伊斯兰教向西藏本土化的过程。西藏清真寺文化即西藏穆斯林文化已成为藏文化不可分割的一个组成部分。

서장적청진사재역사상공유11좌,기중랍살유6좌,일객칙유2좌,창도유1좌,산남택당화아리고격각유1좌。서장청진사유착장목문화상호교류여상호융합적인기。서장청진사적재체표현출량충문명상호팽당적종합체,동시야체현출이사란교향서장본토화적과정。서장청진사문화즉서장목사림문화이성위장문화불가분할적일개조성부분。
According to the history of Tibet, there once were 11 mosques in Tibet, 6 in Lhasa, 2 in Shigatse, 1 in Chamdo, 1 in Tsedang, and 1 in Ngari. They no longer exist today, but they were the deep imprint of the ex-change and integration of the Tibetan and Muslim culture in the history. They also indicate the clash of two civili-zations, and reflect the process of localization of Islam in Tibet. Building mosques in Tibet itself demonstrates the inclusive and understanding attitude of the Tibetan culture. Now the mosque culture has become an integral part of the Tibetan culture.
