晚唐著名诗人、散文家皮日休仰慕鹿门山的名气，在鹿门山隐居达五年之久。五年间，他醉卧山林，学道作文，培养出了卓立于世的性格，树立了振兴儒学道统的神圣使命，写出《鹿门隐书》，为他的文学人生奠定了基础。他还用他的生花妙笔描绘咏赞了襄阳的山川名胜和名人耆旧，体现出他对襄阳的热爱。皮日休的襄阳行事和诗文都是襄阳历史文化的一部分。

Pi Rixiu admired Lumengshan mountain ,so he lived in seclusion in Lumengshan mountain for five years.In five years, he drank in the mountains,learnt the Confucianism, wrote articles, cultivated the stand upright in the world's character, set up the ruling the sacred mission of reviving Confucianism, wrote <T he Secret book in Lumengshan mountain >,and laid the foundation for his literary life. He Praised the xiangyang's scenic spots and historical figures with his graceful style of writing, it reflected his love for xiangyang. Pi Rixiu's deeds and poetry in xiangyang are part of the xiangyang history and culture.
