“方言是一个地区民俗的载体，它是民俗文化赖以留存、传承的媒介，它不仅是民俗文化的表现形式，它也是内容。”基于此，本文以南昌方言“大娘”为例，拟从音韵、媵制婚俗与大娘的关系二个方面来追溯南昌方言中这一表称谓的词的由来，得出“大”字在这一独特的称谓中含有“重叠”之义，并且简单谈谈这一特殊义在南昌方言中的具体应用。

this paper takes the Nanchang dialect “Tuo Niang”as an example to trace the origin of the dialect from phonology and the ancient Ying marriage system. It is concluded that the word “Tuo”in this unique title contains the meaning of “overlap”. It also discusses the specific application of the special meaning of the dialect.
