四川土司杨氏传续了725年29代，在明朝万历年间平播之役中灭亡。杨氏对历代中央王朝尽臣节，为维护西南边疆统一做出了贡献；末代土司杨应龙叛乱的原因主要是土司制度固有的弊端和杨应龙个人因素以及中央和地方官处置失当。和则双赢，斗则俱伤，维护国家统一，任何时候都不可掉以轻心。
사천토사양씨전속료725년29대，재명조만력년간평파지역중멸망。양씨대역대중앙왕조진신절，위유호서남변강통일주출료공헌；말대토사양응룡반란적원인주요시토사제도고유적폐단화양응룡개인인소이급중앙화지방관처치실당。화칙쌍영，두칙구상，유호국가통일，임하시후도불가도이경심。
Tusi-chieftain Young's family in Sichuan ruled Bozhou for 725 years with 29 generations in the Ming dynasty,whose ruling was ended with a war at Bozhou in the Wanli Period of the Ming dy-nasty.Young's family was for a long time loyal to the Imperial Courts of the Ming dynasty,and made much contribution to the stability of the borderland of southwest China.The root causes for the last Tusi-chieftain Young Yinglong's rebellion were related to the internal defects of the Tusi system,his personal qualities and the poor administration of the central and the local governments.This part of history reveals that harmonious relations are crucial to the successful administration and national uni-ty.
