Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of the burn analgesic ointment in the treatment of patients with superficial second-degree burn wounds. Methods A total of 84 cases of superficial second-degree burn wounds were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, and each group contained 42 cases. The experimental group received burn analgesic ointment mullauflage bandage, and the control group received petrolatum mullauflage bandage. The curative effects and safety were observed, and visual analogue scales (VAS) was applied to evaluate the wound pain scores. Results The 7 d healing rates of the two groups were (65.39±22.86)%and (41.06±23.10)%, and the wound healing time of the two groups were (10.03±2.38) d and (12.54±2.30) d, the differences between the two groups had statistical significant (P<0.01). There were 27 cases with slight pain in the experimental group and the VAS score was≤3 point. There were 30 cases with obvious pain in the control group and the VAS score was 3~6 point (P<0.01). There were no toxic and side effects or adverse reactions in the experimental group. Conclusion The application of burn analgesic ointment in the treatment of burn wounds of patients with superficial second-degree burn is safe and effective and can relieve pain sensation during dressing change.
