When the inhomogeneous geological bodies exist in the shallow ground, the static effect will occur, which will have the distortion effect on magnetotelluric sounding data, thus affecting the later data processing and interpretation. This paper calculates the two-dimensional magnetotelluric forward modeling using the finite element method, and analyzes the influence of static effects on magnetotelluric sounding data based on the response characteristics of establishing different models.
