为解决生产线上皮革有效面积的测量问题，提出了一种基于图像处理技术的测量方法。该方法基于皮革表面的纹理特征，运用灰度共生矩阵法进行特征提取，采用最大类间距离法将瑕疵区域与优质区域进行有效区分；利用阈值法消除皮革图像中的纹理，得到二值化图像；并根据基于边界跟踪的区域面积计算方法得出皮革的有效面积。仿真结果表明：该方法能够快速准确地实现皮革有效面积的测量。

In order to solve the problem of the effective area of the leather in the production line ,a measurement method based on image processing technology is proposed in this paper . This method is based on the texture feature of the leather surface ,the gray level co-occur-rence matrix (GLCM ) method is used for features extraction ,the maximum distance between classes used to distinguish the defect area and the high quality region .Threshold method is used to remove texture in leather image and obtain binary image .The effective area of the leather is calculated by boundary tracking calculation .The simulation results show that this method could achieve the effective measuring leather area .
