本文对中国企业在境外的铁矿投资项目基本情况进行了梳理，并对项目根据进展进行了分类，同时与国际矿业巨头的项目进行对比，分析结果表明，中国企业境外铁矿石布局广泛，在资源控制方面取得很大成果，但存在投入巨大收效甚微的问题，大部分项目产能效果并不明显，部分项目难以开发，风险较大，已开发项目竞争力弱。针对现状，建议政府允许市场发挥优胜劣汰作用，建议企业对项目重新评估，把握行业周期提高收购质量，平衡心态，逐步改进。

This paper teases out the situations of China enterprises’ iron mines overseas and classifies them according to the progresses ,while comparing them with the international mining giants’ projects .The result shows that Chinese foreign iron ore assets distribute widely ,having great achievements in terms of resource quantity .However ,there is little success of assets going into production ,and some projects’ capacity are not fully completed ,while some are difficult to develop ,with the others have low competitiveness .To solve these problems ,the government is suggested to allow the market to play a key role in selecting the superior and eliminating the inferior ,and it is recommended that companies should re-evaluate the investments ,improving the quality of the acquisition by grasping the industry cycle ,while balancing the mind .
