红色文化资源作为共产党人历经革命洗礼和改革创新形成的主流意识形态及其物质载体，与社会主义核心价值观内涵具有一致性。红色文化内涵丰富、有感染力，具有凝聚人心、激发情感的功能，充分有效地运用红色文化资源能培养大学生党员形成良好的社会责任感和爱国主义情感，培育大学生党员的社会主义核心价值观，有利于进一步完善高校学生党建工作机制，加强基层党组织建设，达成培育人才及构建和谐社会的目标。
