莎士比亚戏剧是一座语言宝库，其中大量颜色词的使用着实为戏剧语言增色不少，是语言研究的绝好素材。文献检索表明，尚无学者对莎士比亚戏剧中的变体颜色词进行过详尽的研究。以莎剧中red的变体颜色词为研究对象进行语料统计与分析，在英汉对比视角下，莎剧中red变体颜色词的汉译策略可归结为两种：“颜内之意存颜色”、“颜外之意舍颜色”。
莎士比亞戲劇是一座語言寶庫，其中大量顏色詞的使用著實為戲劇語言增色不少，是語言研究的絕好素材。文獻檢索錶明，尚無學者對莎士比亞戲劇中的變體顏色詞進行過詳儘的研究。以莎劇中red的變體顏色詞為研究對象進行語料統計與分析，在英漢對比視角下，莎劇中red變體顏色詞的漢譯策略可歸結為兩種：“顏內之意存顏色”、“顏外之意捨顏色”。

Shakespeare’ s plays are a language treasure, and skillful use of abundant color terms contributes more vivid and distinctive Shakespeare’ s plays. However, literature review indicates that no scholar has ever made detailed study on variant color terms in the plays. This study takes variants of the color terms “red” as research objects and explores the translation strategies from the comparison between English and Chinese. It is concluded that two strategies can be adopted in translating the variants: one is translating literally and preserving the color terms, and the other is domesticating the color terms into target-culturally accepted expression.
