清末，中国部分有识之士已注意到中国传统农业技术与西方农业技术的差距，开始呼吁继承中国传统的重农思想，并引入西方先进的农业科技，发展现代农业教育，以促进农业生产的发展和现代化。与此同时，现代意义的农业教育也随之兴起。
청말，중국부분유식지사이주의도중국전통농업기술여서방농업기술적차거，개시호우계승중국전통적중농사상，병인입서방선진적농업과기，발전현대농업교육，이촉진농업생산적발전화현대화。여차동시，현대의의적농업교육야수지흥기。
