咳嗽是呼吸科门诊的第一大症状，在呼吸内科门诊，80％以上患者具有咳嗽症状，是临床常见病症，然而病因复杂，临床表现多样，前人有“百病惟咳嗽难医”之叹。黄河清教授是我国第五批国家级名老中医药专家，其行医30余年，辨证细腻，方药精致，对咳嗽一证研究较多，治疗经验丰富。在中医上其认为，咳嗽是因外感六淫，脏腑内伤，影响于肺所致有声有痰之症。西医上，咳嗽是人体的一种保护性呼吸反射动作，常见于感染后咳嗽、气管-支气管疾患、肺部疾患等。咳嗽一证，虽然简单，然其兼证复杂，黄教授根据不同兼证给予辨证施治。
