This article introduces the management experience of the Swedish environmental specimen bank , including the clear segregation of duties within their organization ,close collaboration with external entities , combining long-term monitoring with specific research projects ,paying high attention to the data management and accumulation ,keeping open to the public ,etc . The enlightenment to the new Yangtze environmental specimen bank operation management is proposed ,including clear strategic positioning of the YESB ;detailed planning of the future work;strengthening the team building and cooperation with external parties;adherence to the long-term monitoring combined with characteristic researches ;strengthening environmental education;opening to the public;etc .
