介绍了如何利用计算机仿真和建模技术来研究生命系统中的现象。计算机仿真技术便于解释生命系统的复杂物理和化学现象,并协助识别缺失的关键信息,进而设计干预措施来改变它们。通过研究动脉中内皮细胞对血流的影响和研究人类血糖的变化规律这两个实例进行了说明,利用计算机仿真和建模技术来解决分子运输、化学反应的问题。通过计算机仿真和建模技术可以更好地解释和改变复杂的生命系统。

The paper introduces how to study the phenomena in living system by using computer sim-ulation and modeling technology. Computer simulation helps us to understand complicated physical and chemical phenomena and identify the key missing information in living system so as to design possible in-tervening measures in life to change them. The paper then cities two projects to support the aforementioned ideas: The first one deals with the effects of blood flow on endothelial cells lining arteries. And the second one examines the changes of human blood glucose. Both projects involve computer simulation and modeling technology in tackling molecular transport and chemical reaction. It's clear that computer simulation and modeling technology can help us better explain and change complicated living system.
