习语是语言的核心和精华。英汉两种语言中都存在着大量的习语，但由于各自社会文化背景有所差异，英语习语的汉译并非易事。结合实例从英语习语的文化内涵入手，探讨其翻译策略。

Idioms are the core and essence of the languages.There are lots of idioms in English and Chinese. However,due to the differences of the two languages in their social and cultural background it is not easy to translate English idioms into Chinese.In this essay we discuss about the cultural connotations and the translation skills of English idioms combining with a lot of examples.
