《幼儿适应性发展课程》中提出幼儿园活动主要是通过共同性活动、选择性活动两种方式来实施。共同性活动，是指幼儿在教师的支持、帮助下，围绕某个大家感兴趣的生活中的主题或认识中的问题进行深入研究，在合作研究的过程中发现知识、理解意义、建构认识。共同性活动的开展主要是以主题活动的形式进行的。选择性活动，是指多元系列活动，教师以幼儿感兴趣的活动材料（橡皮泥、图片、卡片、珠子、计算器、手工材料）和活动类型为依据，将活动空间相对划分为不同区域，有图书角、计算区、拼图、插接、归类、益智，让幼儿自主选择活动区域，在其中通过与材料、环境、同伴的充分互动而获得学习和发展。
