Main cobalt-containing wastewater treatment processes currently used in China and abroad were introduced, which includes: hydroxide precipitation, sulfide precipitation, ferrite coprecipitation, adsorption, ion exchange resin, solvent extraction, membrane separation, and biological process. The advantages and disadvan-tages of each process as well as their application situations were analyzed. It was pointed out that, combined pro-cess should be the research direction of cobalt-containing wastewater treatment in the future.
