中国古代王朝既反腐惩贪，又表彰和奖励清官廉吏。清官廉吏大都忠于皇帝，勤于职守；为官一任，造福一方；不畏强权，公正执法；为官清廉，一身正气等。表彰奖励包括下诏书表彰，加官晋爵，物质鼓励，死后优恤，赏及后代子孙等。对清官廉吏的表彰弘扬了正气，对贪腐之风起了一定的抑制作用。然而，因为这种表彰还不足以抵消贪腐的诱惑，人治下的制度漏洞又给贪腐行为造成许多机会。

중국고대왕조기반부징탐，우표창화장려청관렴리。청관렴리대도충우황제，근우직수；위관일임，조복일방；불외강권，공정집법；위관청렴，일신정기등。표창장려포괄하조서표창，가관진작，물질고려，사후우휼，상급후대자손등。대청관렴리적표창홍양료정기，대탐부지풍기료일정적억제작용。연이，인위저충표창환불족이저소탐부적유혹，인치하적제도루동우급탐부행위조성허다궤회。
In China’s ancient dynasties, there were not only anti-corruptions but also commendations and rewards for the upright officials. The upright officials were almost loyal to the emperor and diligent in their duties,doing things for ordinary people, defying power and enforcing laws with justice,being honest,and so on. There were different commenda-tions and rewards including the imperial edicts,official titles,material rewards,pacifying policy,rewarding descendants,etc.. The commendations for the upright officials promote the healthy atmosphere and have a certain inhibition effect on corruption. However ,because such commendations are not enough to offset the temptation of corruption ,the system de-fect leads to many opportunities for corruption.
